Okay, so we’ve been waiting for new information on the new Twin Peaks: The Return for two and a half years. And we were getting pretty desperate. But now we FINALLY have something to talk about, and there’s a new trailer to feast your eyes on…
The new series is set to stream on Stan from May 22, so we don’t have long to wait until the new 18-episode series. But up until now, information on the new series and its storylines had been pretty vague. We already knew that original cast members such as Sheryl Lee, Ryan Wise, James Marshall, Kyle MacLachlan and more would be returning for the new series – although the likes of Piper Laurie, Flynn Boyle, and Heather Graham would not be returning. Which makes us pretty confused, how are we supposed to know how Annie is if she’s not going to be on the show?
But there’s one thing the new trailer isn’t missing – and that’s a heck load of trees and mist, true Twin Peaks style. We’ve also realized that everyone in Twin Peaks is still wearing pretty much the same clothes they were wearing 25 years ago, but it’s nice to see them in the new trailer nonetheless.
Even more exciting news has come our way over the past few days which has got us EVEN MORE pumped for the new series (yes, it’s possible). New names for guest appearances on the show have recently been released, and there are some absolute corkers on the list. Expect to see the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Judd, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts and Tim Roth.
Hurry up, May 22.
