Oh, the wonderfully crazy and never dull town of Quahog. Family Guy centers around the adventures of the Griffin family who somehow always find themselves caught up in trouble, especially if dad, Peter, has anything to do with it. Family Guy is possibly one of the greatest animated TV shows of all time, and we have nearly four million people that agree with us; the off-color and twisted humor leaves us always wanting more. But when the credits roll, we are in search of more TV shows like Family Guy for our late night comedy fill.

Much like the dysfunctional town of Quahog, the four grade-schoolers in South Park all have to deal with plenty of bizarre situations. The dark humor used to deal with current world issues, as well as the off-color comments to the residents mean if you can laugh along to Family Guy, you’ll easily find yourself enjoying South Park. However, don’t let the creators hear you as Matt Stone and Trey Parker – the brains behind the show – have a running feud with Family Guy. Regardless of what happens off-screen, if you want a TV show like Family Guy, you’ll enjoy South Park.

Now, we know it may count as cheating to add another Seth MacFarlane show to the list, but come on, you know you’ll love it! The show also revolves around a family, only this time it’s the Smith’s. The suburban lifestyles of the two families make this show feel similar to Family Guy in more ways than one. The show uses fewer cut-aways but instead focuses more on the quirks of the characters. The cringey comedy makes this TV show feel just like Family Guy as you’re hiding behind a pillow while crying at laughter all at the same time.
