We all love a bit of Sherlock, don’t we? Well, now the creators of the show are teaming up again for a brand new blood-sucking series based on the Bram Stoker novel, Dracula.

Variety has reported the news that Sherlock writers, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss would once again work with Sue Vertue Hartswood Films to adapt the classic into a new miniseries for the BBC.

At the moment, both Moffatt and Gatiss are working on their own individual projects, but are getting themselves ready to start on the new show pretty soon. Although sources have said that they’ve yet to decide if the new show will show Dracula in the past or modern day. What do you think? It’ll either be an awesome period drama or something a bit more like Twilight…

The new Dracula show will be similar to Sherlock, in that the series will consist of feature-length episodes exploring the life of the infamous Count Dracula. And considering the success of Sherlock, we reckon it’s going to be a good’un.

Because the new project has yet to get off the ground, there is no casting news to report – yet they managed to bag themselves Benedict Cumberbatch for Sherlock, that we reckon it’ll be someone big. We’re hoping for Orlando Bloom (we can dream, alright?!)…
