We do love a good Burger…

Because we’re retro babies, we love a good cartoon. Whether it’s about a sea sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea, a little kid who lives with his fairly/fairy odd parents, a weird and wonderful family called The Simpsons, a slightly dysfunctional family who live with a talking dog and a murderous baby, or a cartoon about a guy called Bob – there really isn’t anything we don’t like. But of course, Bob’s Burgers is one of our favorites, so we’re pretty darn excited about this awesome news…

Bob's Burger movie to be released in 2020
Fox have confirmed that their beloved animated cartoon will be hitting the big screen in July 2020 just eight days after the eighth season graced our screens – so they really are spoiling us (and we’re not complaining). Loren Bouchard, the creator of Bob’s Burgers, has released a statement on the news.

We’re thrilled to be invited to bring Bob’s Burgers to the big screen. We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show. We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds of the ever-so-slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s – but most of all it has to take out characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!

    No pressure, indeed.

Thankfully, the show is in good hands. This isn’t Fox’s first foray into the world of animated series to production, as they have previously worked on The Simpsons Movie (AKA a work of genius), and Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. However, fans will be keeping a keen eye on the development, as the Emmy-nominated cartoon series is pretty precious to all of us.

Bob’s Burgers follows the life of Bob Belcher, a chef at a greasy burger joint, and his lovely (but pretty eccentric) family. The show features prominent actors to provide the voices of its wacky characters, including Paul Rudd, John Roberts, H. Jon Benjamin, Eugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal, Aziz Ansari and St. Vincent, so we can only assume they will all be recruited to star in the full length movie.
