Calling Freddie Mercury a genius is like calling a donut delicious. It’s just not the case. It’s tantalizing, it’s one-of-a-kind, and it’s the best dang donut you’ve ever experienced in your life (yep, we’re hungry, #SozNotSoz). As the frontman of the epic rock band, Queen, Freddie Mercury has brought some of the greatest and most iconic songs into our lives – and we can only thank him for that. He’s taught us how to, how to, rock you. He’s taught us to break free. He’s taught us that we’re the champions, and he’s taught us that the show must always go on. Perhaps that’s why Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody biopic trailer is one of the most incredible things we have ever seen. Don’t believe us? Check it out:

This 20th Century Fox creation sees Rami Malek (who you might know from Night at the Museum and Mr. Robot) step into the shoes of the British rockstar as he goes about his epic life. The movie will follow the glory days of Queen, as they create their iconic sound, perform for thousands across the globe, and create their lasting legacy on the world of music. While the movie will largely follow Freddie Mercury himself, there will be little snippets of the other band members as they deal with their lead singer’s determination, creative mind, and incredible humor. The official synopsis for Bohemian Rhapsody states that:

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.

The synopsis also states that the biopic will follow Freddie’s split from the band in search of a solo career, as well as his return to his bandmates to perform for Live Aid. Yet, we’ll also get to see how his illness started to not only affect his personal life, but also his professional life…

The Bohemian Rhapsody biopic is set to be released on November 2, so you’ve still got time to learn all of the words to their songs!
