We hate to use a predictable pun for you guys, but The Incredibles really is incredible! We know, it was basic. It was predictable. We could do better, but it’s a classic, so why not? This Pixar delight won us all over in 2004 – which means two things. Yuh-huh, we really are super old, and yep, it really has been 14 years since Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Violet, and Jack-Jack came onto the silver screen. Age is a tough ride, kids. Despite the long wait for a sequel, we can now confirm that The Incredibles 2 is now in movie theaters, and the youngsters of the world better get in line… because there are ‘90s babies who have been waiting for this moment with their capes in tow for decades. Gotta respect your elders, after all.

The Incredibles 2 breaks box-office records

We’re not gonna ruin the movie for you, because you really do need to just watch it for yourself. You know, for the sake of your childhood. Nevertheless, the movie has a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which means it’s kind of a big deal. Alongside the epic reviews of this super movie, it seems as though The Incredibles 2 has also brought in a huge amount of trade to movie theaters around the world – and Pixar are raking in some dollar dollar bills! During its opening weekend at the US box office, this movie grossed more than $180 million. Of course, the movies of today make millions of dollars every single weekend, so what’s so great about this one? Well, The Incredibles 2 has since smashed many hit movies out of the park, and pushed Captain America: Civil War out of the running to become one of the highest grossing opening weekends of all time. In fact, The Incredibles 2 is now in the top 10 movie openings in history. We told you it was mega.

The Incredibles 2

With Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom due for release next week, The Incredibles 2 might suffer a shortfall as people love dinosaurs as much as they love superheroes (it’s true, we love them both equally), and will choose to see Jeff Goldblum (!!!!!!) return to the Jurassic Park franchise. However, we have a feeling The Incredibles 2 will still super-smash the box office, especially as the movie is not released in the UK until next month…
