If you’re not yet aware, Jeff Goldblum is an international treasure. Yup, the Jurassic Park alum is one of the most legendary actors on the scene and has been since the dawn of time (well, kinda) – but it seems as if this icon is overflowing with talent. As if being a ridiculously good actor and being one of the nicest people in the world wasn’t enough, Jeff Goldblum has since decided that he wants to take the music world by storm. While we would normally be jealous of someone with so much to offer the world, it’s Jeff Goldblum, so you kinda can’t stay mad at him. This is why we’re totally stoked that Jeff Goldblum is releasing an album…

Jeff Goldblum Releasing Jazz Piano Album

You might be scratching your head and wondering where the heck this news has come from, but it seems as though this musical prowess is not something he simply woke up and had. Although we wouldn’t put it past him. Instead, Goldblum spent his childhood learning the classical piano, before changing tone slightly and learning the riffs and ruffles of jazz music. By the time he was just 15 years old, he was playing in some of the greatest jazz bars and music lounges in the city of Pittsburgh and causing a ruckus with his talent. He has often showcased his piano skills to the world, and it was one performance on The Graham Norton Show that solidified this new record deal. After seeing him play alongside Gregory Porter, the Decca music label realized they had their new star. The head of A&R at Decca had this to say:

As far as I can tell, everyone loves Jeff Goldblum. It’s like a universal truth… He’s a fantastic jazz pianist, a great band leader and just about the loveliest man in the world. His love of jazz is infectious and whatever he plays makes you feel very happy.

YEAH, IT DOES!

So far, there’s no news on when this jazz piano album will hit the shelves, but as Goldblum is currently touring the world promoting his new movie, Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom, we have a feeling we might be waiting a while. That’s okay, we’ll wait forever for Jeff.
