When two become one…one mega epic 90s band, that is

It’s the ‘90s reunion we’ve been dreaming of! Rumor has it, Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys could be hooking up for the reunion tour to end all reunion tours. Forget ‘The Big Reunion’ and McBusted, Spice Boys is exactly what we need in our lives right now.

Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys could be in talks about a joint reunion tour

Nick Carter, ex-Backstreet Boy and total heartthrob of the ‘90s spoke about the rumors in a recent interview with US Weekly. Carter, who works with Emma Bunton (AKA Baby Spice, AKA the Spice Girl all little blonde girls wanted to be in the playground) on reality show Boy Band said this:

I’ve had conversations with Scary Spice and Emma, and we’ve talked about it… We’re always open to doing a tour with them. I think it would be an epic tour.

He thinks it would be an epic tour?! Is he for real? Of course, it would be one of the best tours in the world – and we have a feeling tickets would sell out in minutes. Don’t worry though, we’ll be the first to tell you if and when they go on sale! Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the Spice Boys (do you like that? It works, right?) have talked about doing a tour together. AJ Mclean, another ex-Backstreet Boy, told Rolling Stone magazine that there had been talks about the two groups going on a reunion tour in the past. He said the idea had been bounced around for over a year and a half, and this was back in 2015. It means we could still be waiting quite some time before everyone agrees to get together. C’mon Posh Spice, we know you’re the one dragging your Prada heels.

This epic ‘90s reunion wouldn’t be the first over the last few years. As the generation of nostalgia, it seems we can’t get enough of those revivals which have so far seen bands such as Steps and Take That wheedling their way back into the charts (and our hearts). So for now we’ll just make do with what we’ve got, but deep down we’re all dreaming of that Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys reunion tour.
