Because why not?

In a world full of remakes and reboots (we’re looking at YOU, Disney and Netflix) it’s no wonder that the one hit wonder, Sisqo, has re-released his classic ‘Thong Song’ with a weird and wonderful EDM style twist. And yeah, it’s exactly how you’ve imagined it. (DISCLAIMER: We kinda dig it).

Sisqo has released a remix of Thong Song in 2017

Sisqo first released the butt-tastic song back in 1999 and soon became an R&B classic, as well as a song we could just NOT get out of our heads. Now, the Thong Song is back with a little help from Norwegian DJs JCY. Now you can singalong again to the super 2017, Millennial version where you can learn all about her dumps like a truck and her thighs like a what. Check it out:

As much as it is a bit, realllllllyyyyyyy? We do kinda like the reboot, and we have to give the guys credit – especially considering at the time of writing, JCY only had 51 followers on Twitter. Sisqo has helped release new remix-masters into the game, and we kinda like that. And we do also have a bit of a soft spot for the silver-haired Sisqo.

He’s spoken to Buzzfeed about his new remix.

I’ve been asked so many times over the years to make a new version of ‘Thong Song’ and I have declined every time until I heard the new version that JCY did. I thought it was dope and figured maybe it was time to put some new rims on the Bugatti.

Even his normal speaking words are smooth.

The only problem was that, in the days leading up to the shoot, everything that could go wrong did. We experienced a devastating loss in our team and we were all pretty emotional. On top of that, I’d just done a show on the complete opposite side of the country where I dislocated three ribs. The epitome of insult to injury was the couple of hours we had to learn a brand new choreography for the video right before recording it where in most cases you get a week to learn a new routine. Even though I had to perform in the video injured, I think it turned out pretty good.

Have we just fallen in love with Sisqo again? Yep.
