Roger Waters to Headline British Summertime Festival in 2018

Wish You Were There?

Let’s be honest, Pink Floyd are musical legends. They taught us to yell at our teachers (although that normally resulted in some form of punishment), they taught us how to be comfortably numb (a bit of an oxymoron, but we tried our best), and we learnt how to Run Like Hell thanks to their music. Now, we have the chance to see a Pink Floyd alum in front of our very eyes…

Roger Waters was a member of Pink Floyd

Roger Waters makes up ⅕ of the rock band, and even co-founded the band that brought us some of the most iconic songs of all time. Over the past few years, Waters has taken the solo stage, and embarked on a Us + Them world tour. The show has incorporated some of the most famous Pink Floyd songs, as well as his own original music. Waters took a break from the tour in 2013, but is now coming back with a bang – as Roger Waters has now been announced as the main headliner for the awesome British Summertime Festival in 2018.

The 74-year-old will take to the stage in Hyde Park on July 6, 2018, and will then continue his tour in Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham – how exciting is that?! His previous tour was hugely successful, and was seen by a whopping 4 million people across the globe. These incredible numbers make Waters tour the highest-grossing tour for any solo artist, EVER. So he’s kind of a big deal.

You can buy tickets for his 2018 tour from Friday, October 6, 2017 at 9am – and if you’re lucky enough to be on Amazon Prime, you guys can get presale tickets from Wednesday at 9am. So what are you waiting for? Grab your money, set your alarm and Run Like Hell to buy these awesome tickets. I mean, it’s Pink Floyd and Roger Waters – what more do you need?
