Everyone’s favorite Sandra Dee has been forced to cancel and postpone many upcoming tour dates around America due to her health condition. It’s been reported that Newton-John has been suffering from a ‘bad issue’ surrounding her sciatica – a leg pain that can affect one or both legs, and stems from the lower back.
Yesterday, her management confirmed the cancellations, and eight concerts have officially
been postponed from her American Midwest tour. They have said:
We are sorry to announce that the Olivia concerts scheduled for May will be postponed due to a bad issue with Olivia’s sciatica. Once the dates are rescheduled, we will post the new dates ASAP. Apologies for any inconvenience.
The 68-year old singer, dancer, Grease star and all-around legendary Olivia Newton-John has suffered from her condition for many years now, but it isn’t the first time she’s suffered from health problems. In 1992, Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since been in remission.
After her battle with Cancer, Olivia Newton-John made it her life’s purpose to take care of herself, and think about what she and her body needs, and supporting others who have also been affected by cancer.
I am grateful for the [cancer] experience because without it I would not have done many of the things I have done in my life,’ Newton-John explained earlier this year, ‘It’s taught me compassion for those going through difficult times.
At the moment, An Evening With Olivia Newton- John has only been postponed for the dates in May; it still remains to be seen whether she will be well again to continue with her June concerts. Either way, we hope she gets better soon.
