Muse Announce Intimate London Charity Gig Where Fans Pick Setlist

But ‘Time is Running Out’ to get tickets…

Muse fans, rejoice! Matt Bellamy and his band of merry men have announced they will be playing a small, intimate gig for charity – and you, YES YOU, will get to pick the songs they belt out.

Those lucky enough to nab tickets will see the trio play at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on August 19, with tickets going on sale at 9am on July 7. That’s just three days away guys! Those who have tickets to Reading and Leeds, along with Muse fan club members, will get access to presale tickets (time for us to sign up to the fan club then). Those tickets will be available 48 hours in advance… So, basically tomorrow at 9am. Set your alarms…

Muse will be playing an intimate charity gig for The Passage, where fans get to choose the setlist

This Muse gig will be in aid of The Passage, a charity which helps homeless and vulnerable people in London. They run the largest day center in the city, helping around 200 people each and every day; from hot showers and food, through to employment, housing and welfare advice. So, a pretty good cause then! Matt Bellamy said of the charity:

We have admired the Passage’s work for a while now. Their work is vital to the community in London. We are looking forward to doing our bit to help the amazing staff and volunteers and the homeless people who benefit from their tireless hard work.

The concert will be a ‘by request’ set, which basically means that attendees will get to choose what songs are played. If ‘Plug in Baby’ isn’t on that setlist then I’ll eat my hat*. Every ticket holder can submit up to ten songs for Muse to play, which means there should be plenty of firm fan favorites alongside a couple of curveballs for good measure.

You’ll find tickets on TicketMaster, with presale going live at 9am on July 5, and general sale going live at the same time July 7. We have a feeling this gig is going to sell out preeeettty fast.

    *I won’t actually eat my hat, I don’t have a hat…
