We all know Gorillaz. You know, the band that is real but aren’t really real because they’re virtual? You know, greatest band on Earth? Well, they’re going on tour, and we need tickets. Stat.
Gorillaz has recently released their brand new album, Humanz, to the world and their fans are going crazy. So much so, that frontmen Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn have decided to take the band out for a much-needed tour across the UK and Europe.
Over the past month, the band has been incredibly active after their little break from the world of music. They’ve released five new (and amazing) songs to the world, they’ve broken VR records scoring themselves the most successful debut with their 360 degrees virtual reality six-minute animated movie, and they’ve even released their own app – so it seems only fitting that they get on their own bandwagon and give their fans what they want.
Gorillaz had previously announced their US tour on their website, and when tickets went live – well, they had sold out in just a few minutes. So we can expect the UK and European tour to be just as popular. The tour kicks off in November in Luxembourg and will be playing all across the continent during Autumn, and finishing off the tour in the UK. There aren’t a whole load of shows, just Brighton, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London so this really is a once-in-a-lifetime kinda thing. To get tickets before anyone else you simply need to buy their album (like right now) and you’ll be given access to the advance sale. You can do that here (you’re welcome).
So if you want tickets to see Murdoc, Noodle, Russel, 2D and their live band in the flesh and in virtual reality – you’re going to have to be quick.
