Yep, you read that right. Marshall Mathers is back (back again). Rapper Eminem is set to release his ninth studio album later this year, and we’re pretty darn excited.
The Real Slim Shady hasn’t released an album since his 2013, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. However, Mathers teased fans in October last year with a cryptic tweet, reassuring his fans that he was working on new music.
Don’t worry I’m working on an album! Here’s something meanwhile. https://t.co/QX3cdpqFD2

Attached to the tweet was a link to a YouTube video which teased his track called ‘Campaign Speech’ during the time of the US Presidential Election.
More news hinting at the album has come from filmmaker, Allen Hughes, who is currently working on a documentary film with Dr. Dre. In an interview, Hughes lets slip about an Eminem/Dre collaboration.
Dre record every day. Literally, he’s in there recording songs every day. He’s like Picasso in that way. He’s always painting. Right now he’s producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem’s latest album. So Dre’s still real active in music.
Rapper 2 Chainz has also hinted at new material coming from Slim Shady.
He let me hear this song and it was funny/ I heard some things in there where his vernacular was 2 Chainz-y. It was crazy.
Well, it seems Eminem is back on the horse and ready to release music – perhaps he got the buzz after serving as producer on the new rap-satire, Bodied? Eminem’s new album is set to be released some time in the fall. And we can’t wait.
