Yep, you heard that right. Dust off your dancing shoes, because Boyzone are coming back for an anniversary tour. And you have to get those cheesy boy band dance moves perfected before they do.
The ‘90s Irish boyband (let’s be honest, the best Irish boyband in the history of Irish boybands) announced the news a couple of days ago on their Instagram page. The confirmed that they’re planning something pret-ty special for their 25th boyband-versary. The post said:
Plans are being hatched for new music and lots of touring throughout the year. But next year seems a long way off so in case you can’t wait, the Boyz are hitting the road for some exclusive UK shows later this summer. Dates and ticketing details will be announced here soon… #boyzone2017.
One word. OMG.
Boyzone were first introduced to the world in 1993 by none other than the Irish boyband-maker and legend, Louis Walsh. They soon dominated the music industry in the UK and abroad and created six smash-hit number one singles before they broke million of girls’ hearts in 1999 when they split up (yes, we were some of them).
Although that wasn’t the last we saw of them. The Boyz reunited in 2010 for a reunion performance and to record their fourth album in memory of their bandmate, Stephen Gately, who sadly passed away the year before.
Ronan, Mikey, Keith and Shane will be reuniting once more this summer and next year to bring us even more Boyzone magic, and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve got up their sleeves….
