Okay, does anyone else hate themselves every day because they didn’t grow up in Themyscira? Well, we do too. While Diana and the rest of the Amazonian women were taking their daily fighting class, we were having math class – and we’re not totally sure that that’s fair. However, we’ve learned to accept that we’re not Wonder Woman, no matter how many times we try to fit ourselves into a corset and wear a headband on our head. We need to stop trying to make Wonder Woman happen for us because it’s just not going to happen. Y’know, like fetch.

Wonder Woman will start filming in May 2018

Despite our inability to use the lasso the truth and yield a sword, we do have the ability to watch Wonder Woman every single day for the rest of our lives – or until Wonder Woman 2 makes an appearance into our lives. Thankfully, it seems as though we won’t have to wait as long to see Diana Prince back on our screens, as Wonder Woman 2 finally has a filming date, and it’s four weeks earlier than planned!

Yep, on May 28th, 2018, Gal Gadot will don her Wonder Woman outfit once more, and take direction from the legend that is Patty Jenkins to start filming the epic sequel. This news has taken some by surprise, as the movie was originally meant to start four weeks later – but we’re not complaining. In fact, we’re super excited! As if the earlier start date wasn’t cool enough, rumor is that a Hollywood legend will be joining Gal on set. Yep, Bridesmaids and Ghostbusters star Kristen Wiig is currently the critics favorite to play the big bad feline in the upcoming movie, and it seems as though she’s ready to partaaaaaaaay. It’s believed that Kristen is first in line to play Cheetah – Wonder Woman’s enemy. However, there is no official confirmation of this just yet, so we’ll try to stop ourselves from getting too giddy…

Kristen Wiig set to play Cheetah in Wonder Woman 2

Although details of Wonder Woman 2 are still a little scare, it’s understood that the sequel will take place during the 1980s Cold War-era, with many believing that nuclear paranoia and trench warfare will play a huge part in the storyline that was written by The Expandables co-writer, Dave Callaham. I mean, we’re sold already.

Currently, Wonder Woman 2 is looking to grace our screens on November 1, 2019.
