A few months ago, we let the wonderful fans of RetroEnt (yep, that’s you) know that Quentin Tarantino was set to make a horror film based on the Manson Family Murders. As one of the most infamous murders in history, Charles Manson and his cult have been associated with some of the most brutal serial killers and cult crimes. Although what happened to Sharon Tate and the other victims was absolutely appalling, us weirdos just love a murder mystery – and have been fascinated with the life and mind of Charles Manson for years. Because of this, we’re pretty darn excited (and a little bit nervous) for this movie to be released. Wanna know what’s got us even more excited? These rumors about the potential cast…
Because the Manson movie is still in the development stages, no official casting decisions have been made just yet. However, the Hollywood spies have some gossip for us – there are some MAJOR Hollywood actors linked to the movie. So, who are they? Well, you might want to hold onto your hats for this one, because these rumors will blow your mind.
According to reports, Margot Robbie is in line to play Quentin’s leading lady, Sharon Tate. This news doesn’t surprise us, as Robbie is currently dominating the Hollywood universe with her versatile talents (and excellent accents). Recently, she has appeared in the emotional Goodbye Christopher Robin, and will soon appear in the intense biopic of the disgraced skater, Tonya Harding. Why not add another job to the list, ey Margot? But Robbie won’t be alone on the set. Apparently, Quentin Tarantino has approached Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Samuel L. Jackson to star in the movie. I mean, that would be sick.
Alongside this potential cast, we’ve also heard a little more about the Manson movie. According to Deadline, this film will not follow every single detail of Charles Manson and his cult. They have noted that:
There has been a lot of press that the script focuses on Charles Manson and the murder spree he orchestrated, but I’m told that is akin to calling Inglourious Basterds a movie about Adolf Hitler when the Nazi leader was only in a scene or two.
Oooh, well we can’t wait to see what Quentin brings to the table. Obviously, we expect nothing but perfect from the cinematic genius.
