Jurassic World 2 Now Has a Legit Title and A Poster Teasing Jeff Goldblum’s Return

Shame they got the tagline, uh, wrong…

As you can tell by all of our posts about Jurassic World, we’re pretty excited about the upcoming sequel (just 364 days to go, not that we’re counting or anything…) and yesterday, the official Jurassic World Twitter Page finally announced the legit title. Along with a pretty epic poster. Check it out:

Yep, the official title for Jurassic World 2 will be Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I mean, as far as movie titles go, this one is the T-Rex ( which means it is the shizzle). The page also uploaded the first official poster for the new movie, featuring the iconic Dino skeleton that has adorned the franchise since its beginning in 1993. But the poster also features falling sparks that hint towards a fiery destruction. Could this be a tiny giveaway towards the storyline? Earlier in the year, Chris Pratt confirmed that the sequel will be ‘scarier, darker and unexpected’ compared to the first movie. Hmmmm….

Here at RetroEnt, we love a good tagline. And the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom slogan serves as a direct reference to the movies newest (and oldest) recruit, Jeff Goldblum. A few months ago, we confirmed that Goldblum would be returning to the Jurassic Park franchise, and that he was even creating his own lines for the upcoming movie (I mean, could he get any more awesome if he tried?!)

Jeff Goldblum is going to be the serious star in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

This new tagline makes reference to one of the most iconic lines in the movie series, although it is technically incorrect (we won’t hold it against them). The line ‘life, uh, finds a way’ was first spoken by Jeff Goldblum during his debut as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the first Jurassic Park movie. Considering the franchise has decided to use this quote to sum up the whole movie MUST mean Jeff will be returning with a bang to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

We’ll have to wait until June 22, 2018, to find out.
