We’ve always been a bit dubious about any sequel, and it was the same for Jurassic World 2. Do we really need one? Are we going to be disappointed? But then we heard about the return of Jurassic Park’s Jeff Goldblum – and now we just KNOW it’s going to be good…
It seems like we have a right to be excited, because it’s now been revealed that Jeff will be bringing his own spin to the script. Jurassic World director, Colin Trevorrow, has been speaking to MTV for their Happy Sad Confused Podcast about all things Jurassic World 2 – even though he won’t be directing the sequel, he has some pretty cool news.
During his interview, he revealed that Jurassic World 2 will be more like a ‘horror-thriller with dinosaurs in it’ and will draw on ‘the depths of depravity that humans will seek in order to satisfy the need for profit.’
Oooooh. Trevorrow also spoke of a conversation with Jeff Goldblum AKA Dr. Ian Malcolm,
Jeff Goldblum called me – and I’m not going to do an impression – but he was like, ‘Look, I’ve added a couple of things, and I thought I’d perform for you.’ I was like, ‘Oh, great, okay.’ So we sat on the phone for an hour as he ran these lines, and we talked about it. And, I mean, that’s – it was almost better than being there on set. It was great.
Considering Jeff’s history in Jurassic Park, we can’t wait to see what he brings to the table.
