J.K. Rowling Has Completed ‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ Script

New magic is coming our way…

Harry Potter writer and Muggle legend, J.K Rowling has FINALLY announced that she has completed the script for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel. Finished. Finito. Done. Dusted. Which means filming can finally get underway…

Last year, Rowling gave us the first movie within the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise, and you could say it was a roaring success. Following the life of Eddie Redmayne’s Magizoologist character, Newt Scamander, the film rocked up over $814 million at the box office and dried the tears of woeful Harry Potter fans (we needed the magic back, okay?!).

Rowling confirmed the news on Twitter yesterday, after an impatient fan plucked up the courage to ask her…

But J.K being J.K, she didn’t give much away in her answer.

But we do know that the movie is set to begin filming this summer, and is going to be introducing some pretty big actors into the Wizarding World. The sequel will see Eddie Redmayne don his wizarding cloak once more, as he tries to save the world from the infamous Gellert Grindelwald (played by Johnny Depp. How exciting is that?!).

Rather than taking place in 1920s New York, the sequel will take place in both England and Paris – and it’s said that the whole franchise will span across the years between 1926 and 1945 (which means there’s loads more to come). We’ll also see Jude Law take to the screen, as he apparates in to play none other than the young Dumbledore… and we can’t help but wonder if young Dumbledore will have his beard or not?

Katherine Waterston will be reprising her role as Tina Goldstein, and she will be joined by Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange and Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander. I mean, you can’t get much better than that…

The movie is set to hit theaters on November 16, 2018 and we’re already counting down the days. But until then, we shall just wear our wizard’s robes and dust off our wands while we wait.
