Indy doesn’t belong in a museum just yet…

Let’s be honest, Indiana Jones is one of the best movie franchises in the whole entire world (you can argue it all you want, but we’re totally right) and Harrison Ford is an absolute legend. Ford has starred in some of our favorite movies of all time, including Star Wars (who doesn’t love Star Wars?), Blade Runner, Air Force One, Patriot Games and Sabrina – but for us, he’ll always be Indiana Jones.

Harrison Ford will star in next Indiana Jones instalment in 2020
Since 2008, we’ve been drastically craving another Indiana Jones movie in our lives – and finally, our prayers have been answered. Ford will be teaming back up with ol’ Steven Spielberg to bring us a brand new film for the franchise, Indiana Jones 5. Until now, we’ve had no clue how the next installment would work within the franchise, but now Ford has given a few clues away…

In a recent press tour for the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 movie, Harrison Ford spoke to the Graham Norton Show in the UK about Indy 5.

We have a release date and we are working on a script. It will be great. I’m looking forward to working with Steven (Spielberg) again and to revisiting the character later in life. It’s interesting to see it in a different light. It will be fun and a good thing to do.

Steven Spielberg will co-write and direct Indiana Jones 5

Ooooh! Although, Indy doesn’t belong in a museum just yet.

Thankfully, this ‘different light’ doesn’t include Shia LaBeouf as his son/sidekick – because…well…it just didn’t work. (Soz, fans of The Crystal Skull).

Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the story of the next installment, but we do know a little more about the script. The Indiana 5 movie script will be written by Spider-Man and The Mummy writer, David Koepp, and Spielberg himself. So, we can 99.9% guarantee it’s going to be a hit.

Indiana Jones 5 will see Harrison Ford reprise his role

Indiana Jones 5 is due to hit theaters on July 10, 2020.
