Marvel characters just love to pop in and say hi on their fellow superheroes’ movies – and we absolutely love it. Of course, we all know Thor had a little cameo in the post-credits of Doctor Strange, so it’s only polite that Benedict Cumberbatch returns the favor and makes an appearance in Thor: Ragnarok.
Yep, the new Japanese trailer for the upcoming Thor movie has officially CONFIRMED that Doctor Strange will make an appearance. Before this trailer, it had been speculated that Cumberbatch would feature within the movie, but it had all been rumors. Luckily, the Japanese trailer has now solidified these rumors and given us a sneak peek into a few of his epic scenes. And this time, it seems Doctor Strange has a little advice for his hammer-wielding friend.
‘Thor, I Sense a great change in your future. Destiny has dire plans for you my friend,’
says Doctor Strange.
Thor then responds,
‘I have dire plans for destiny.’
The trailer doesn’t go into any more detail, so we’ll have to watch the full movie to find out what these changes are, but it’s got us pretty darn excited. The trailer also gives us an insight into another layer of the Ragnarok story. Up until now, most of the trailers have hooked us in on the Hulk/Thor reunion (this makes us so happy) more than anything. However, this new Japanese trailer has mainly focused on Thor’s main task at hand – to save Asgard from Hela. Luckily, he’s got Hulk, Heimdall, Loki and Valkyrie to help him out…
Thor: Ragnarok follows on from the 2011 Thor and the 2013 Thor: The Dark World and will star some of the biggest names in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Benedict Cumberbatch. This new installment will also feature a new actress – none other than Cate Blanchett. Cate will be donning her superhero suit to play the evil villain. Catch Thor: Ragnarok in theaters on November 3, 2017.
