Admit it, you love Hot Pie a little bit. We all do. We fell in love when he made the rather sad looking Direwolf bread for Arya – and then again when he did a slightly better job for Brienne. We even caught up with the adorable baker in the latest episode (spoilers over). So when we heard that Hot Pie was opening his own bakery, for reals, we were jumping for joy. Even more so when we heard what it was called.
Ben Hawkey, the real-life actor who plays Hot Pie in the popular Game of Thrones series, has opened the best-named bakery in the whole of London – “You Know Nothing Jon Dough.” Based in the city, you can try some of Hot Pie’s delicious Direwolf bread via Deliveroo for £1 ($1.30) a piece. They are made using whole wheat cornbread and orange zest, which sounds utterly divine.
According to the instructions on Deliveroo, they’re best served slightly warm and with soft butter. Mmmm. Unfortunately, when we tried ordering some ourselves, we couldn’t actually do so; we have a feeling Hot Pie may be slightly overrun with orders for his delicious Direwolf bread.
Hawkey has told the press that he won’t give away the secret recipe for his bread, but that “Deliveroo customers will have a chance to try them themselves. You don’t even need to take a dangerous walk down the King’s Road to visit, it comes to you.”
Hot Pie, we’d walk through hell and high water for a bite of your delicious bread. We’re just worried you won’t be able to keep up with our demand.
