Do you agree with the picks?

Ahhhh, video games. What would we do without them? Go outside? Get some fresh air? Actually speak to people? Nah, you’re alright. But have you ever wondered which of your favorite games will go down in history? Well – just take a look at the World Video Game Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame was first established back in 2015 to recognize and give credit to all kinds of video games that have influenced popular culture, society, and the video game industry. Cool, huh?

To come to the final decision, video game experts from across the world observe thousands of nominations from more than 100 countries and judge the games on their geographical reach, their influence, their longevity and their iconic status. When the finalists are announced, The World Video Game Hall of Fame holds a celebration weekend at The Strong Museum in Manhattan – and it’s happening THIS WEEKEND. You can view the previous year’s inductees, you can pose for pictures with your favorite characters, you can play some of the best games, and you can view this year’s finalists. We’re so there.
