As E3 gets underway, one of the most exciting new announcements has tickled our nostalgia sensors – and we reckon you’re going to love this.
At a press conference on Monday, Ubisoft unveiled a brand new trailer for their new video game, South Park: The Fractured But Whole. But they didn’t stop there. Oh, no. Ubisoft wanted to spoil their dedicated fans, and announced an epic new mobile game franchise called South Park: Phone Destroyer.
Yep, we’re sold.
As the mobile gaming trailer opened with Eric Cartman, the voiceover announced:
The most high-tech company has unlocked the mobile phone’s true potential so that it can do what it was truly meant to do.
The new mobile game is set to follow the same rules, structure and turn-based combat that we’ve seen in the South Park video games, and will follow the same storyline as our favorite TV show. We’ll see Cartman and his pals dress up as Cowboys and Indians, Bards and Choirboys, and Buccaneers and Knights (and probably get up to their usual misadventures. Which is why we love them, right?!)
South Park: Phone Destroyer will come as the third installment in Ubisoft’s South Park franchise – after the company released South Park: The Stick of Truth was first released in 2014, and the upcoming South Park: The Fractured but Whole set to be released on October 17 this year.
It’s said that the new mobile game will hit Google Play and the Apple App Store sometime this year.
We’re super cereal.
