Another wedding is coming…

Jon Snow and Ygritte best move over, because there’s another Game of Thrones wedding on the cards now – with Sophie Turner (AKA Sansa Stark) as the blushing bride and Joe Jonas as the pretty lucky groom. The adorable pair posted their news on Instagram on Sunday 15 November, with two identical Instagram photos, both with different captions. His said “She said yes” and hers said “I said yes.” Oh STOP!

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are now engaged

Joe Jonas (of The Jonas Brothers fame) and Sophie Turner met last year and have been virtually inseparable since. Joe met Sophie’s parents in London, before Sophie spent Thanksgiving in Mammoth Mountain with the Jonas family, so you know it’s totally legit. Sophie has spoken out about the public attention of their relationship, however, in a recent interview with Marie Claire:

You do feel like you’re living in a fishbowl. It’s frustrating [that] it’s the most mundane things that make the news — how boring! There are really no other headlines?

Well, when you announce to your millions of Instagram fans that you’re engaged, of course we’re gonna be interested! While no details have been announced about their engagement just yet, we have a feeling it was some over the top romantic affair. Maybe Joe Jonas sung her a song that he’d written, before producing doves from his sleeves that carried that rather weighty looking diamond? I don’t know, just guessing here.

We’re sure there will be a magazine exclusive around the corner, filled with all the juicy details. For now, we’ll just imagine what their wedding is going to look like… As long as George R. R. Martin doesn’t plan it, we’re pretty sure it’ll be a lovely affair with no Red Wedding vibes in sight.

Time to buy yet another hat, for the second Game of Thrones wedding we definitely won’t get invited to.
