So it’s no secret that we absolutely love Millie Bobby Brown, as she’s the realest chick in Hollywood. But this just makes us love her even more. Even if it did make us cry like a baby.
Last night’s MTV Music Awards was one of the most eventual award ceremonies we’ve had in awhile. We had Emma Watson scooping the first gender-neutral award, and we had Millie Bobby Brown giving us all the feels.
The young British actor beat off her competition last night to win the highly coveted Best Actor in a Show gong at the MTV TV & Music Award. And considering she beat the likes of Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan – you could say it was a pretty big deal.
But Millie Bobby Brown is one of the realest and coolest chicks in the business, and her reaction to her success just proves that she’s not a Hollywood robot – but a kick*** actress with a big heart.
Brown was awarded the gong for the Best Actor in a television show after being nominated for her role as Eleven in the hit Netflix TV show, Stranger Things (hurry up, October). During her acceptance speech, she thanked her family, friends, fellow Stranger Things cast and it’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer for giving her the chance to play Eleven.
Lastly, I want to thank the Differ brothers because they have created a bad***, female, iconic character that I’ve got the honor to play.
Throughout the speech, the 13-year-old actress broke down into tears (and so did we), so check this out if you want a little cry on a Monday…
